National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership

Heidi Sheppard serves on the Partnership Team at the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) developing strategic partnerships and making connections that further MEP’s mission.  MEP is implementing new innovation management tools and growth strategies across the country that can help revitalize the US manufacturing industry.  She is the lead for the Interagency Network for Enterprise Assistance Providers (INEAP), the network of Federal Agencies which meet monthly to exchange information, find partners and provide information on partnership opportunities.  Prior to MEP, Heidi was the Senior Manager for the Business Incubation Program at the Maryland Technology Development Corporation, growing and strengthening the incubator network in the State.  Heidi worked as the Director of the Loudoun County Small Business Development Center in Northern Virginia and as the Assistant Director of a Small Business Development Center in Louisiana.  She has an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
