The American Small Business Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Elaine Young as the National Director of the ASBCC | Board of Experts. The ASBCC | Board of Experts is a very select community of professionals that provide trusted education, insights and mentoring to advance business, leadership and financial growth for women. As the National Director, Ms. Young is responsible for the selection and management of all members of the USWCC | Board of Experts to assure the highest possible level of quality education and mentoring for our members.
Additionally, as a recognized Government Contracting Expert, Ms. Young will assist all
NASBC | Supplier Council Members who take advantage of our complimentary
Bid Match services providing introductory training and assistance. Ms. Young will also be available for various types of government contracting consultation and assistance.
Elaine Young is an experienced community economic development leader with recognized accomplishment for technical assistance in procurement, contracting, management, and business/community planning assistance. She has considerable knowledge of federal, state and local government contracting procedures including researching/accessing bid opportunities, contract specifications, procurement histories, etc. She has worked extensively with the Department of Defense/Defense Logistics Agency's Procurement Technical assistance Programs.
Previously, Elaine served as the Director, Marketing and Procurement Services Program for the National Centers for American Indian Enterprise Development, worked with tribal programs as a Community Planner and she served as a small business analyst providing a wide array of small business technical assistance at the Northern Pioneer College SBDC.
She has coordinated, designed, and developed over 120 educational meetings/events during her position with NCAIED & AIPTAC and provided expert training on a wide array of government contracting and small business technical assistance topics. Elaine has a Level II Certification in Government Contracting with the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC). And, in 2000 to 2005, she was certified with the SBA as a Pre-Qualification Financial Loan officer.
